"Plug-in" cars and vans are eligible for grants.

  • Grants are available only to new UK registered low emissions vehicles.
  • Low emissions vehicles are also subject to a favourable regime of tax allowances.

Low emissions defined

Exhaust emissions of 75g C02/km or less this includes:

  • Electric
  • Plug-in hybrids
  • Hydrogen-fuelled
Range 70 miles 60 miles
Min top speed 60mh 50mph
Warranty

Vehicles must have:

a 3-year or 60,000-miles vehicle warranty (guarantee)

a 3-year battery and electric drive train warranty, with the option of extending the battery warranty for an extra 2 years
