Finance Bill 2016 finally became the Finance Act 2016, getting Royal Assent on 15 September 2016.
The Autumn Statement will be on 23 November 2016, and the draft clauses and consultation on them intended for Finance Bill 2017 to be published on Monday 5 December 2016 with a 30 January 2017 deadline.
The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) observes that "This timetable doesn’t give the government much time to consider the responses to the various consultations currently ongoing."
