Just a very short web-update this week: it's the lull before next week's Budget.

We have two useful Upper Tribunal VAT case reports which both raise some practical points for clients on mixed supplies and what you can claim on white goods as a house builder.

Still on VAT, the CIOT have submitted comments to HMRC amidst concerns that the forthcoming changes to the Flat Rate Scheme (FRS) will not stamp out abuse as intended. We also have a guide explaining how to deal with the new FRS rules if you VAT quarter spans 1 April 2017.

From time to time we have queries on withholding tax on cross border payments and so we have a new guide on this topic.

If you have any tax queries please do try out our Virtual Tax Partner support portal at www.VtaxP.co.uk

Enjoy the guides and updates; and the news is below.
