Jobs in tax: tax adviser/writer/editor wanted

We are looking for a qualified tax adviser and writer/editor to join our team. You need to have broad practical experience in advising in SME tax, enjoy writing and updating our tax resources at www.rossmartin.co.uk and advise our Virtual Tax Partner clients.

This role will suit a technical tax professional who is happy to work from home. We are looking for someone who is very strong in SME company/owner-managed business tax. Part or full-time.

The role is a combination of:

• Technical writing, working with the team updating and reviewing our content on www.rossmartin.co.uk to ensure that it remains a wonderful resource. You must be good at writing, research and enjoy the challenge of different work each day. You must be reliable and flexible in your outlook and love tax. 
• Providing tax advisory support via our Virtual Tax Partner support portal at www.VtaxP.co.uk. Each query brings a new challenge, ideally, you will be very strong in SME taxes and have a good breadth of experience across the main taxes affecting SMEs and their owners, including employment and land and property tax.

You will have had lots of hands-on experience in working with OMBs, probably have spent time in compliance and understand all the challenges of working in practice.

Whilst it's great to have all-rounders: if you are applying from a really big firm your experience may be too 'niche' for us, although do send in your CV.

You do need a reliable internet connection as we are 100% digital.

This job is not for you if you like commuting (although if you are in the West Country you can occasionally work at our HQ) or cannot concentrate.

Salary and hours are negotiable with a bonus scheme and benefits. Preferably your background is as a qualified accountant with a CTA qualification.
