HMRC have announced that they are extending the deadline for the new online trust registration service again.
The new deadline is 5 January 2018 and this applies to new trusts set up during the 2016/2017 tax year. The deadline for registering existing trusts remains 31 January 2018.
Agents can now apply for acccess to be able to register trusts for their clients, but we understand that the process is currently taking several weeks to complete.
