Sharon Cooke FCA CTA
Technical Director
Sharon is a well-known speaker, author and consultant within the accountancy profession. Sharon is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser and writes and speaks on all technical topics pertinent to accountants in practice, with a particular interest in business taxation. Sharon joined 20:20 Innovation as Technical Director in January 2022 and enjoys working with members to help them achieve success in their practices.
Andrew Symons FCCA CTA ATT (Fellow)
Head of Tax
Andrew joined rossmartin.co.uk in September 2020 after working for twelve years in a firm of Chartered Accountants, where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser, Chartered Certified Accountant, and Taxation Technician.
Andrew focuses primarily on private client, smaller corporate, and owner-managed business taxation, but maintains a broad interest in all aspects of tax. He enjoys tax technical research and conveying complex and technical issues in a clear and understandable way, in an ever-evolving tax landscape.
Andie Ross AAT ATT CTA
Technical Consultant
Andie is a CTA-qualified employment taxes specialist with a strong focus on international and cross-border matters. With nearly ten years of experience in practice, she has supported clients through the complexities of global mobility, helping organisations navigate PAYE, residency, and multi-jurisdictional tax challenges. Outside of work, she’s an enthusiastic crocheter who’s rarely without a project on the go.
Dan Hurst FCCA
Technical Consultant
Dan is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with 30 years’ experience in accounts and tax. Working in accountancy firms in the West Country and London, Dan supported self-employed, corporate and trust clients with ‘cradle to grave’ tax issues, from incorporation decisions and Capital Gains Tax planning to VAT partial exemption. He then moved to SWAT, helping firms with their processes, including writing tax return checklists and engagement letters. Dan joined the rossmartin.co.uk team after spending nine years working as a finance director in an owner-managed business, giving him practical insight into the challenges of navigating tax and finances for business owners and employers. Outside of tax, Dan enjoys walking, reading and playing guitar.
Diane Deller BCom (Acc) FCA CTA
Senior Tax Adviser
Diane has spent many years working in tax with both national and regional firms. She has a particular interest in corporate and employment taxes. She joined the rossmartin.co.uk writing and editorial team in 2024 after spending five years building a tax consulting team for a national company. In her spare time, she is a gym regular, a happy hacker on her horse Freddy and took part in her first ultramarathon challenge in 2025.

Emma is an experienced tax CPD lecturer and writer who has worked in practice, industry and as a VAT Officer for HMRC. She enjoys presenting tax law in a way that is dynamic and easy to understand. When she’s not working, she’s enjoying life with her family and dog.

Gerry has worked as an editor, journalist and producer for over 30 years in Asia, Africa and the UK. Experience stretches into business, finance, science and technology. Previous employers include UBS Equity Research Asa, CNBC Asia, BBC and the FT magazine group amongst others.
Jenni Davie ATT TEP
Technical Consultant
Jenni has over 20 years of experience working in the tax industry. Based in the Northeast of Scotland, Jenni began her career in tax compliance, moving into planning and advisory roles. After qualifying as a Taxation Technician, she went on to qualify as a member of STEP and became an IHT, Trusts and Estates specialist. Her time is currently split between writing for RossMartin and working in practice at manager level. Although Jenni enjoys the challenge of most taxes, her main focus is on personal taxes. Outside of work, Jenni is kept busy with two children but does enjoy bagging a Munro in the Scottish Highlands and yoga in her free time.
