Budget 2018: the chancellor has announced that the first-year allowance (FYA) for electric charge points will be prolonged until 2023.

A 100% FYA has been available since 23 November 2016 and was due to come to an end on 31 March 2019 (5 April 2019 for Income Tax).

This allowance has been extended and will now cease on 31 March 2023 for companies and 5 April 2023 for Income Tax.
