The Arts Council has announced a £160 million emergency response package to support individuals and organisations across the cultural sector in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
These are:
- £90 million for National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs).
- £50 million for organisations outside of the National Portfolio.
- £20 million for creative practitioners and cultural workers.
Funds for individuals, creatives and freelancers
This is targeted at creative practitioners whose main work is focused on these art forms and disciplines:
- Music
- Theatre
- Dance
- Visual Arts
- Literature
- Combined Arts
- Museums practice
- Libraries (an activity that helps deliver the Universal Library Offers)
This work includes choreographers, writers, translators, producers, editors, freelance educators in related disciplines, composers, directors, designers, artists, craft makers and curators.
- Before you can start an application you need to create a user account and applicant profile on Grantium.
- Grants for up to £2,500 are available.
There will be two rounds of this fund. You can apply to only one of these rounds.
- Round one opens for applications on 9 April 2020 and applicants will need to register on Grantium by 13 April in order to make an application before the deadline of 12pm (midday) 16 April.
- Round two opens for applications on 16 April 2020 and applicants will need to register on Grantium by 27 April in order to make an application before the deadline of 30 April.
