Plans to increase probate fees for all estate worth inexcess of £50,000 increase from May 2017 have been dropped: there is no time to introduce the legislation because of the general election.
It is assumed that the planned increases will be introduced in the new parliament.

The increase in fees followed consultation and will be enacted by statutory instrument if a new parliament decides to introduce the measure.
