HMRC is seeking agents' views in a new survey exploring a proposed digital service that would allow agents to report information that may affect their clients' PAYE tax codes.

As part of HMRC’s transformation roadmap, HMRC are exploring whether a digital service could enable agents to report information that may affect their clients’ PAYE tax codes.
HMRC have created a survey for agents to complete, which will help shape the requirements for any future service.
They are seeking views on the potential value of a digital reporting route as well as clarity on the types of coding changes agents most frequently need to report, and how these are currently submitted.
The survey can be accessed Here and will close on 18 September 2026.
