A late filing case: should a taxpayer obtain a proof of posting to establish when a return is submitted, or should it be HMRC who shows proof of receipt to confirm that a return is received late?

HM Revenue & Customs have now published a chapter on Partnerships in their Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) Manual.

A real "quickie" from me this week, we have a new PAYE update. We keep finding interesting news on that front and there are also quite a few new issues for us advisers and our clients ahead of 2011/12.
