The Scottish government's second funding tranche under the DigitalBoost Development Grant has closed on the day it opened. The £25m DigitalBoost fund is Scotland’s national digital upskilling programme helping businesses to use digital technologies effectively.

The fund offers small to medium-sized businesses grants of between £2,500 and £20,000. Grants are on a 50% matching basis. If your eligible project costs are £5,000 you could receive a grant of £2,500.

The scheme, which is jointly run by Business Gateway and the Scottish Government, was partly to help with economic recovery from COVID-19. The scheme opened on the 24 August 2021 and closed that evening with a statement, "The response to the grant has been exceptional and registration for grant applications is currently closed."

The first DigitalBoost Development Grant that had £10 million at its disposal had previously opened on 14 January 2021 and also closed on the same day.

Expressions of interest can still be made for any future funding rounds but, so far, none has been announced.
