Role Summary | Providing tax advisory support to a wide range of clients by our Virtual Tax Partner (VtaxP) advisory service. |
Working week | Full or Part-time |
Responsibilities | • Providing tax advisory support via our VtaxP support service to a wide range of different clients who are mainly accountants in practice. • Utilising strong technical tax knowledge to help clients and customers including dealing HMRC or in obtaining optimum tax positions within the boundaries and intentions of tax legislation • Managing and owning client enquiries through the internal ticketing system. • Answering tax technical queries and working on tax consultancy projects ensuring a high level of customer service through the lifecycle of the ticket. • Working with colleagues in the tax and training teams in reviewing queries, reviewing technical training notes, providing quotes and estimates for work, responding to queries (in writing), report writing where required, assisting in developing VtaxP tax products and providing tax technical support. • Contributing to the www.rossmartin.co.uk practical tax database and other written tax products. • Work with wider team on other tax products as required. • Support internal teams with feedback & collaboration to ensure the best possible client experience. • Any other duties commensurate with the role. |
Knowledge and Skills |
• A CTA qualification is essential with membership of an additional professional body considered a plus • At least 2 years post qualification experience and having worked in practice • Experience of working in a tax advisory environment, dealing with owner-managed business’s, corporate clients and private clients • An interest in tax and ability to maintain and keep up to date with latest developments and interpretations • Experience in mixed taxes with an understanding of issues from “cradle to grave” • A desire to help individuals and businesses with tax, enabling them to flourish and achieve their goals • Proven track record of working in tax compliance and understanding the challenges of working in practice |
